Watch Tom On-Screen, Benefit Critically Ill Kids

If you live near Sedona, Arizona, you can watch one of Tom’s movies and give to hospitalized kids at the same time. Tom’s movie, Waiting for Forever, will be shown at the AMC Desert Ridge 18 on September 23rd at 7:30 pm. Tickets to the showing are $20, and according to the press release ALL proceeds will go to Camp Soaring Eagle, which provides services to seriously ill children.

There will also be a V.I.P Pre-Screening Reception at As You Wish Pottery at 6:00 pm before the show, at which the movie’s producers will be in attendance. Tickets to the Pre-Screening are $100 per person. Tickets may be purchased here, or at As You Wish Pottery (Desert Ridge)

Tom is Officially Carlo Marx

Those of you who have been tweeting, messaging, and commenting that Tom will be playing Carlo Marx know that we’ve been rejecting those comments with things like, “We’re not sure yet,” and “It’s not official yet,” but never fear, because we knew we’d eventually find out (officiallly) what role Tom would be playing in On the Road.
Popular speculation has been confirmed that Tom will, indeed, be playing Carlo Marx, a character based loosely on Kerouac’s friend and fellow Beatnik Allen Ginsberg. Ginsberg was another leader of the Beatnik generation and his poetry is famous the world over. He was also a known political activist.

Junkhearts First Cut Finished!

The first cut of Tom’s new movie, Junkhearts is completed. The film’s writer, Simon Frank, tweeted this morning that it was finished and he was going to watch it.

On my way to see first cut of #junkhearts. There are butterflies in my stomach.

And after seeing it…

breathtaking screening. Titles guy sitting next to me had no idea what he was about to see – it blew him away.

Sounds like it’s going to be a good one!

We posted yesterday that Tom had been confirmed for a role of some sort in On the Road, a film adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s novel. Today, a new box was added to the movie’s IMDB page.

Any guesses as to whose box it is?

Why it’s Tom’s, of course!
As you can see, the role has not been confirmed yet, but we will bring you that information as soon as we have it.

In the meantime, does anyone have a guess as to why there is a stick-person in the box in lieu of Tom’s actual face? If you could put a picture there, which one would you choose? Leave your comments below!

**Note: The title of this article is facetious. Tom’s involvement in the movie has been verified by an official press release.

Tom Trades Hobo Attire for Black Turtlenecks and Bongos in New Hitchhiking Movie

Rumors have abounded on the internet about Tom being cast in the film adapation of Jack Kerouac’s On the Road and now a press release has finally confirmed them. Check it out below:

Filming began on August 4th, and we received a press release announcing that Steve Buscemi, Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men), Alice Braga (Predators), Tom Sturridge (Pirate Radio), Danny Morgan (the TV show Off the Hook), and Terrence Howard. However, we don’t know which roles they’ll be playing. I’d be able to provide an educated guess but I haven’t read the book yet. It’s currently sitting in a pile of other classic works of literature that I keep by my bed to make me feel bad about myself…On the Road is due out in 2011.

Supposedly, and this has NOT been confirmed, so take it with a grain of salt, but supposedly Tom will play the role of Carlo Marx.

On the Road is a story about the beatnik generation. The main character, Sal, goes hitchhiking all over the country America and also through Mexico.

The death of Tom as Danny was foreshadowed on Twitter:
